A trip to the hospital made me thank critical thinking for the very first time as it made me realize the importance of it.I never really paid much attention to the vague words used as i simply didnt care but it taught me just how much one simple sentence could change your whole life.
My cousin brother was admitted in a hospital a couple of weeks ago right after he met in a car accident thank goodness he is alright now.But it was a previous accident that was finally showing us its results in this fresh accident. His knee cap was previously at a total lost and with careful measures it was healing but the current accident popped it right back out!I mean how ironic is that right?
so,just like any other desperate patient .....we seeked the doctors help and so he assured us that this surgery that my cousin will have to undergo is one of the best surgeries. But then it got me thinking....how is it the best surgery?why is it the best surgery?Compared to what is it the best surgery?what is the rate of recovery?what are the expenses like?
After all these questions then finally the doctor opened up and told us that there is only a 50% chance that my cousin brother could actually walk again. We were all in shock and decided to seek for a second opinion which most humans tend to forget about. Those questions on that vague statement that the doctor made just saved my cousin brothers future!
With the second opinion and careful consideration about which surgery to undergo,my cousin brother is once again a walking ,living and healthy person that goes about his everyday routine.Pretty scary when you come to think of how some doctors use vague words just to get their work over and done with huh....oh well!!!!!
